#FIT21 fails to protect consumers and misses a critical opportunity to address the rampant use of crypto for money laundering by bad actors. I can’t support a bill that puts our investors and our security at risk. I’m voting no.

House Republicans have refused to bring to the floor my amendments to help address the use of crypto obfuscation tools that are preferred by terrorists, drug traffickers, and foreign adversaries. I urge my colleagues to oppose this harmful bill.

For years, @RepBillFoster and I have advocated for the careful, thoughtful approach in designing a CBDC. While I am pleased to read Federal Reserve’s new report, I am disappointed it was released months behind schedule. It is important to not delay the work on CBDCs any further.

I’m proud to be a part of the Digital Assets Working Group. The United States is playing catch-up to the rest of the world when it comes to digital currency and it's time to change that.
